Starting this blog
Why I'm writing in public about AI, and what I'm hoping to figure out.
I’ve been meaning to start a blog for a while. The usual excuses applied — not enough time, nothing worth saying, who’s going to read it anyway.
What changed is that I kept finding myself in conversations about AI where I had things to say that I couldn’t say clearly. The ideas were half-formed. Writing forces you to finish them.
What this is
This is a place for me to think in public about building with AI. That mostly means:
- Claude — I use it heavily and have a lot of opinions
- Agents — what they’re actually good for, the architecture stuff that doesn’t get covered
- Coding — how my workflow has changed, what’s genuinely useful vs. demo-ware
- Software — the bigger picture questions about how this changes what we do
What this isn’t
This isn’t a newsletter, a brand, or a content strategy. I’m not trying to go viral. I’m trying to have thoughts that are worth having.
If something here is useful to you, great. If you think I’m wrong about something, reach out — I’m probably at least a little wrong.
First real post coming soon. I have something to say about using Claude Code for a non-trivial refactor, and it’s not the story I expected to tell.
